Topics

MountainSafety.info is currently building up additional topics. After avalanche rescue being the starting point by coincidence, Mountain Emergency Medicine is the next logical step as an optimal interaction between avalanche rescue and the initial medical treatment on-site is critical for a positive outcome. MountainSafety.info is however not bound to avalanche or winter related topics, its content shall in the future cover all aspects connected to safety in the mountain environment covering topics related to rock, ice, glacier, navigation, mountain weather, decision making etc.
Consistency of content and terminology within a topic and between related topics is a key advantage of MountainSafety.info content.
All translations are done by experienced workgroup members who are 100% familiar with the methods, techniques, systems and strategies form an operational as well as from a teaching perspective.
In order to achieve these goals, the members of MountainSafety.info workgroups closely collaborate not only in the creation of the materials, but equally teach common courses to ensure a high level of synchronization and common practical understanding.
